East London Liquor Company Releases Peated Gin

let’s begin

Continuing their Barrel-Aged Gin Programme, East London Liquor Company release 311 bottles of their peated Barrel-Aged Gin, perfect in a Peat + Tonic.

THE BIG SMOKE

Available from 16 April 2018, East London Liquor Company is releasing 311 bottles of their latest Barrel-Aged Gin: their hero London Dry Gin, aged for 47 weeks in an ex-peated whisky barrel. The results are pretty spectacular. Sitting at 47%abv, fresh  rosemary and smoked, caramelised oranges first hit the nose for a warming yet refreshing aroma. On the palate, the gin is creamy and excellently balanced; with the drinker first enjoying bright citrus notes, followed by a pepperiness from the spices at the back of the throat and finishing with an earthy smokiness.

To best highlight the flavour of the gin, Brand Ambassador Mikey Pendergast suggests two recommended serves:

Peat and Tonic

1 (25ml) Part East London Liquor Company Barrel-Aged Gin
Top with Indian tonic
Garnish with a slice of fresh ginger

Build in your favourite glass, garnish with ginger and enjoy with good company.

Gin-A-Cillin

50ml East London Liquor Company Barrel-Aged Gin
25ml Lemon juice
15ml Liquid honey
10ml Fresh ginger juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, shake then strain into a rocks glass with a half-salted rim

BARREL-AGED GIN PROGRAMME

This is the first Barrel-Aged Gin released for 2018 by East London Liquor Company, and is a part of their
continuing Barrel-Aged Gin Programme. Throughout the year, the distillery will continue to release various
iterations of barrel-aged gin, highlighting the range of casks in their maturation room. Launched in January
2016, previous Barrel-Aged Gins released from Bow Wharf include their London Dry Gin rested a selection
of casks of New French Oak, Ex-Sonoma Rye, New French Oak and refilled French Oak, and finally ExBourbon,
with ABVs ranging from 41% to 55%.

LONDON DRY GIN (40% ABV)

Known as East London Liquor Company’s hero gin, their London Dry Gin is a juniper-forward, well-balanced
gin. It’s distilled using the finest 100% British wheat spirit infused with fresh lemon & grapefruit peel,
coriander, angelica root, juniper berries, cubeb berries and cardamom.

LONDON SPIRIT

The first gin, vodka and whisky distillery to find its home in East London in over 100 years, East London

Liquor Company has been at the forefront of the boom in quality spirits since it began distilling in 2014, and
is set to expand their offering with the limited release of their first London Rye® Whisky by the end of 2018.
East London Liquor Company found its home in the disused industrial space of a former glue factory in Bow
Wharf, on the corner of the East End’s Victoria’s Park. The site now boasts a stunning distillery cocktail bar,
an Italian-inspired restaurant and a bottle shop showcasing some of the best spirits from around the world.
Producing a minimum of 12,000 bottles per month, East London Liquor Company distils and imports a
range of spirits aimed as much for bartenders, as for at-home consumers. The range is enjoyed across
London and around the world in their rapidly expanding export portfolio, which currently sits at 20
countries.
